Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information Puzzle Cat Club handles when you use our mobile app or website.
The short version: there are no ads, no in-app purchases and no account. Every puzzle is generated on your device, so the app plays perfectly well offline. We do use PostHog to collect anonymous product analytics so we can see which puzzles people enjoy and make the app better.
Information we collect
Puzzle Cat Club does not require an account and does not ask you to provide your name, email address, or other personal details to play.
Puzzle progress, scores, preferences, and tutorial status may be saved locally on your device so you can continue playing. This information stays on your device.
We also collect product analytics so we can understand how the app is used and improve it. This can include which puzzles you open or complete, difficulty choices, answer reveals, game results, basic app lifecycle events, and limited interaction data such as taps. Analytics may also include technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, and similar details.
We never collect the content you type into a puzzle, and we never ask for contact details.
What we do not do
- We do not show advertising of any kind.
- We do not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions.
- We do not require an account, sign-up, or login.
- We do not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or photos.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell personal information.
Analytics
We use PostHog to collect and process the product analytics described above. PostHog helps us measure engagement, reliability, and feature use. Analytics are associated with a randomly generated identifier for your installation of the app — not with your name or any contact details.
PostHog processes this information on servers in the United States. We do not use analytics for personalised advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
Analytics are entirely optional to the app working. If the network is unavailable or analytics fail to send, every puzzle still plays exactly as normal.
You can learn more about how PostHog handles information in the PostHog privacy policy.
How information is used
Information is used to provide app features, remember game progress, understand product usage, maintain reliability, prevent abuse, and respond when you contact us. We do not sell personal information and we do not show third-party advertising.
Children's privacy
Puzzle Cat Club is designed for families, including children. Children can play without creating an account or submitting a name, email address, or similar contact details.
Like other players, children may generate the local game data and analytics described in this policy. We do not knowingly ask children for personal contact information, and we do not use analytics for personalised advertising.
If you are a parent or guardian and have a privacy question or request about a child's information, please contact us so we can investigate and delete data where applicable.
Storage and retention
Locally saved game information remains on your device until you clear the app's or browser's storage or uninstall the app. Information handled by PostHog is retained only as needed to provide their services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse.
Your choices and rights
You can remove locally saved game information by clearing Puzzle Cat Club's app or website data, or by uninstalling the app.
You may also contact us to ask a privacy question or to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you, where applicable. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Puzzle Cat Club or its legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date.
